Great lawyers who genuinely care about their clients. Did a great job on my case and i will always be grateful for the interest they took in me as a person.

0.5 out of 5 stars

0.5 out of 5 stars Horrible experience. I hired him, Mr Arca, and I regretted it from day one. He didn't even show up to my bond hearing. The female attorney who showed up didn't even know I was indicted. She didn't even talk to me before the hearing just sat down next to a stranger attorney who obviously knew nothing about my case. Extremely unprofessional. And then when I got out of jail, he ignored my phone calls lying, saying that he was on vacation, "like normal people." What vacation you know lasts for 2 months? He was obviously working with the state, acting like he was working for me. Stay away at all costs! He talks a good game but doesn't back it up with any substance! He ran off with $10,000, and I'm not even mad about it, lol. I'm innocent and will be suing for the money back. These people are working with the devil himself. I told him from the beginning what I expected, and he fell short of every expectation. I advise anyone dealing with anything stressful to not hire this law firm. If you do expect to be disrespected, cursed out, and lied to. It's sad when you have attorneys like Mr. Arca that will take people's hard earned money and not provide any service. I told him when he came to see me that the charges are bs, and I want to take it to trial immediately. That was the entire point of hiring him. Not once did he mention more money. Fast forward Im out of jail and he finally calls me back after 2 months of running, I asked about the court appointed attorney who lied to me about the speedy trial that I requested saying I'd go to trial by the summer. He told me that's between me and her. This is the man I paid for legal advice, lol. Then I asked for him to put in for the speedy trial, and he then informed me I would have to pay him 30k to do so. That's 40k when he asked for 20, and based on everything I told you, would you give this man any more money? Racist system that tries to keep black people down, and this man is a part of it. I told my dad not to hire this man, and he did anyways, but I will get the last laugh. Disgusting human beings. I will update once I deal with the charges and this crooked attorney the state has in their pocket.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
