Had a time-sensitive tax "emergency" that required immediate consultation. I requested an appointment with J. David Tax Law through this site and was able to discuss my case with an associate over the phone the same day! I'd _absolutely_ work with this firm in the future, but I'm not looking to have any more tax troubles! This firm is incredibly responsive and very knowledgeable. Suffice it to say, I consider J. David Tax Law as my tax attorney for the future and you would be _VERY_ well served to work with them if you have any tax issues! The resolution was better than I could have ever imagined.

Couldn't be happier with the professional manner and the diligence performed by J. David Tax Law in getting my tax problems taken care of. I'd previously hired and paid a local attorney who stopped practicing law without notifying me, leaving me wide open to actions by the IRS. I then hired/paid another local attorney who recommended I do a bankruptcy even though I was paying my bills on time. He said after the bankruptcy was settled I'd only have to pay pennies on the dollar to the IRS. Ha! Everyone is so quick to judge a lawyer (pun not intended) as money grubbing and callous, but not attorney Jonathan Sooriash. I?ve had an emotional roller coaster of a year in 2022 to say the least between financial issues, family issues, health issues, and more. I was a total mess and my life was at its worst when I had to seek legal counsel for my taxes. Not knowing who I could trust to actually take the time to listen and care about my problems enough to find the best solution was extremely stressful. I am surprised to see some of the bad reviews. I had great service from Michael Crouse. His response when I called or had a question was always within 24 hours usually within hours. I received regular updates every few weeks or sooner if there was a status change. In fact, it was not unusual to receive an email on a Saturday or Sunday night. My tax debt was in the 6 figures and spanned almost a decade so I knew it was going to take a big minute to untangle and resolve but that it was! I can sleep at night. I thank Jesus who led me to your firm. I never had a problem with the IRS or state the 41 years i worked. Jason Geiger is one of the most valuable and knowledgeable lawyers I had the pleasure hiring for a unusual tax issue. Unlike most situations, my situation was definitely a little different than normal, and I wasn?t getting anywhere with it on my own. Although it was different and unique, he still was able to provide me with fruitful outcome. In my situation I received a large amount of money back from the IRS. A while back I posted a review of the services I was receiving from J David Tax Law, and especially my attorney there, Michael Crouse. Now that my case is officially closed, yay!, I have a little something to add. My attorney was working on an offer in compromise for me when the IRS revenue agent who was handling my case decided to pull the rug from under our feet...no word, no warning. One morning, out of the blue, I get a call from my daughter who's in a complete panic. The revenue agent had cleared her bank account, savings and all. We'd all forgotten that her father's name was still associated with her account because he'd been the one to open it up for her when she was just a teen. A moment later I got a notice that my, and my husband's, account had been cleared as well. I called my attorney, who got on the phone right away to the revenue agent's supervisor. By the next day my daughter's account had been fully restored. Since I was the debt holder, it took a couple days but, thank goodness, mine was restored as well. Shortly thereafter, I got a notice that I had to get my balance paid within about two weeks or they'd foreclose on my house. Had Mr. Crouse not been handling my case, it's very likely the IRS would have, indeed, foreclosed on my house, which has been my family's home for over twenty years. Mr. Crouse wasted no time handing things with the IRS and instructing me on the best option for getting my balance covered in time. Even though I didn't get the offer in compromise and the IRS got aggressive with collections, Mr. Crouse still saved me about 7,000 dollars. I'd not have been able to pay my end balance and save my home had he not done that. Even in the end, well after my bill with the firm had been paid, he was still as sharp as he was from the moment he first took over my case. So, when you come to J David Tax Law for your tax debt, trust me, Michael Crouse is the guy you want to ask for. I am writing this review to share my thoughts and experience with JDavid Law firm in particular Atty Hiten. The law firm just helped me clear ALL my doubts about getting help, because when I contacted the firm I was very nervous to what would be the outcome of this inquiry. My tax situation when I approached J. David Tax Law stretched some 10 years of going from one so-called tax firm after another with very little to show for the amount of money, emotional stress, and aggravation that I was put through. Eventually, in desperation I called J. David Tax Law after an extensive search online with various forums consistently returned the firm?s name for favorable tax resolution issues with the IRS. As with most people calling J. David Tax Law for help with the IRS, it is because we've face some sort of difficult financial circumstance(s). I had a great job, never missed a tax payment, and money in the bank. Then; a diagnosis of Stage IV Throat & Neck Cancer, losing my job as a result, followed by a divorce; amid the 2009, 2010 financial debacle. I eventully earning some income a couple years later, and paying tax. Then a couple more minor cancer surgeries, and major bone augmentation resulting from radiation, I had the choice of paying doctors or taxes. I tried working with the IRS (IMPOSSIBLE); service is poor, incorrect responses; and very intimidating, almost frightening, correspondence. My case was assigned to Nadia Malcomb, ESQ. Thnk heaven! The intake call went well, and was reassuring, and after talking to Ms Malcomb, I felt like the weight of the world had been lifter. Nadia is really really good. She assured me she would take care of everything; I would need to get some paperwork and records to her, but that she made very simple and straight forward. She always kept me updated, an da aware of what was taking place with the IRS. She answered my questions, and always put a smile on my face. Diligent, honest to a fault (very much appreciated) and a marvelous wit. As one would expect, she was very professional, while being refreshingly human. I called J David Tax Law almost a year ago with a very complicated case. I had completed a payment plan with the IRS 2014 as part of a offer and compromise. During that year I got Divorced and filed bankruptcy. There was one payment on a quarterly business tax that wasn't paid.That allowed the IRS to bring back all the old taxes. I was contacted in 2019 that all the old old taxes were now owed. It was over $100000.00 owed. I was devastated my former husband is a contractor and hides his income. I have the same story as many people on here- I became financially overwhelmed very quickly when I was younger and didn?t pay or file for many years. We had a huge Florida sales tax debt and IRS Payroll tax debt from a tourist store we owned in Orlando. The state was threateing prosecution and we didn't have the money to pay it. I'm not as happy with this firm as I could have been. They were able to get me out of paying a little over twenty-grand in IRS tax debt but I still had to pay almost three-grand. I don't believe that I should have had to pay anything but I guess it was better than what I had. If you want a tax attorney that can eliminate a lot of the debt this is the one, just don't expect it will all be wiped out.

I was self-employed for a number of years and missed some quarterly tax payments and over the course of 3 years ended up owing over nearly a hundred-thousand dollars. I didn't pay much attention to it until I received the first notice from the IRS. I spent over an hour on the phone with the IRS only to be hung-up when connected. I tried again and was on hold for over 90 minutes when I gave up. Then a revenue agent contacted me and was trying to force me to share my part in a business to pay off the tax debt. I didn't know where to turn until a friend referred me to J David. I felt relief after my first conversation and they ended up getting over twenty-one thousand of the debt wiped out and I can afford the agreement they negotiated. If I can give this firm a 0 star I would. Contact David tax law in Oct 2019 and now it?s august 2022. They it take this long because of Covid they said! Going on to three year to get my tax fix and nothing is fix but cause more mistake on my tax return then ever. Btw I found the mistake by myself not them. I paid $3,500 to let them make mistake with the IRS and they blamed everything on the IRS. I somehow made double the amount that I made and owe 3x more than of which I owe due to my bad tax preparer. I have to work with new lawyers every couple of months because people keep quitting. Seem like a bad place to work at! They only take your money but don?t do their job. So they said they spend 30 hours on my case for 3 years lmao. No one is reaching out to me and try to talk to me. Try to get my money back but of course they will not because they are greedy people. All they did was got my tax debt the way it was in the beginning with. This is a joke to me. I have learn to do taxes myself. Don?t trust any David tax lawyers.

They will not help your tax situation anymore than what you could do yourself. Their employees have complained about being overwhelmed by cases and it's evident by the number of lawyers that abruptly quit leaving your case unattended for weeks up to months,meanwhile whatever tax agency they were supposed to be in contact with goes forward with liens,collections and garnishments,you are reset to another lawyer that has to start all over from the beginning with another power of attorney,this happened to me Three times. After 11 months,over 7000,00 wasted in fees and hardly anything accomplished I finally woke up to the scam. J David Tax Law is a waste of hard earned money and time.

Just do not have the time to give all details of this online company. Bottom line gave them the Power of Attorney and they did NOTHING. At first decent communication. But individual I was dealing with no longer worked there and nobody told me !! ( Red Flag ) things went south from there. I was told X and Y happened. I ended calling IRS when it should have been J David Tax doing what I paid up front for them to do! They did take my money real quick though. My advice do your home work. Avoid this so called law firm at all cost. ( only 3 reviews on Google ? Not good )

I came to J David after being duped by Optima tax law. I was seeking help after I had filed under a CPA for previous years that never got filed. Complicating matters I had been a traveling nurse so working in multiple states those years. All in all I owed around what I thought to be 10k. My time with J David began in March 2020, that?s when the contracts were signed. For 6 entire months the first attorney they had on my case did absolutely nothing. He would not communicate with me, there was no movement whatsoever. I had to contact someone up the food chain in order to get a response. They got me a new attorney.. finally come July of 2021 I am in resolution with state DOR and federal IRS. And come to find out federal actually owes me several thousand dollars. I specifically ask the attorney is there any reason you could foresee me not getting that money? She said no because I am in resolution with the state level so I pay off my daughters college tuition expecting that I?ll be receiving that 5k from the IRS in a couple of months. JDavid closes my case and boom I get a letter from the state saying they are intercepting the old federal return. I will say the nearly $4k I paid to this firm did me zero benefit. I did not get any of the interest knocked off my state payment even though I had proof I filed with a CPA for those years. And now the money owed to me from federal is being intercepted by the state so truly I could have done this myself. It took well over a year (3/2020-7/2021) for a measly 8,000 debt to be settled with zero benefit to myself and a nearly $4,000 lawyer expense. Honestly don?t know how any of this is legal. Tax law shouldn?t be so difficult that the average person goes broke trying to figure things out.

I've been working with J. David Tax Law since January 2020. I paid them a total of $3000 to clear up an error with the state of California in which they owned me over $5000 because I had paid taxes for years I didn't live in the state due a clerical error, as well as help me sift through a federal issue. Working with the lawyers at this firm has been a headache from start to finish. The first lawyer on my case gave me inaccurate information and then completely disappeared, leaving my file with another attorney who was nice but ultimately asked for a positive review before the case was even complete, little did I know it never would be. Overall this pursuit has not only not been cost effective- I haven't even received half of what I overpaid California, but there are parts of my case (the federal portion) that they just completely forgot to do, and when I call for clarification it always feels like the lawyer is digging through my transcript just to remember who I am, never actually getting to the heart of the issue or answering my not complicated questions. Save yourself the money and use a local reputable person who is not juggling dozens of case loads and who will be proactive about your case. Tax issues are stressful, I hired these guys to help me get a handle on it, and all they've done is exasperate the feeling of ambiguity.

It took a while to resolve my case but I'm glad it's over and J David came up with a solution. While not in my favor, they did all they could, were very helpful and courteous.
