Ian S. MacDonald, a partner with the firm, practices in the areas of Municipal Law, Land Use, Real Estate and Trusts and Estates. He graduated from Iona College in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Magna Cum Laude, and from Albany Law School of Union University in 1999 with a Juris Doctor degree. From 1991 to 1996, Ian served as an Economic Advisor with The Wefa Group, an economic forecasting firm located outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Ian is admitted to practice in all New York State courts as well as the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York and the Supreme Court of the United States. He is a member of the New York State and Dutchess County Bar Associations and is a periodic speaker on the topics of land use and local government law.
