I was diagnosed with COPD and also have anxiety and back problems.I chose to hire Brad Johnson with The Advocates to obtain benefits through Social Security. My SSDI application was approved the first time, which is very rare from what I?ve heard and read. I have never had any problems contacting or speaking with Brad. I was with Craig Swapp first and after a year I was told there was not enough info/injury to get me a settlement worth their time. They passed me off to Steve Linton of the Advocates and after 2 years Steve said I should settle for what State Farm was offering or I would probably not get anything. State Farm said because of my age, being a woman and a pre-existing condition, I ?couldn?t have gotten that hurt? to warrant a big settlement. I ended up having 4 major surgeries due to the internal injuries and almost $150,000 in debt. I ended up getting $13,000 and no car and the accident was not my fault. The Advocates would not fight for me. Now, 12 yrs later, I still suffer from the effects of the accident, and even though I work, I have been wrongfully terminated from 5 jobs all due to the disabilities I deal with from that accident. I disputed my terminations and won each time, but it makes it harder to find a job when you get fired.
