Dee is seriously one of the most caring attorneys in Foley! I reached out to her and her firm after I was rear-ended and found out I had a slipped disc. They totally came through and got me the help I needed.

This is a great firm to assist anyone that was in an auto accident. I have never seen a firm so dedicated to client contact and ensuring clients' expectations are always met. The attorneys at this firm are truly genuine and caring.

The firm and each staff member did a fantastic job with helping me navigate my auto accident. They took great care of me, were highly communicative, and I highly recommend them for any auto accident.

I could not be more pleased with the assistance I received from your law firm in settling a family estate.Debbie Rutherford was always pleasant, punctual, and knowledgeable as she helped me through the steps of reaching the final settlement .

I retained this law firm for a personal injury matter. The people there shuffled the case around between lawyers and paralegals and gave me several updates that the case was progressing well. A few months prior to the statute of limitations, with no new information, this firm completely dropped the case without explanation. This law firm wasted critical time over so many months and left their client to suffer the consequences of their poor legal work. Stay far away from Caldwell Wenzel & Asthana.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
