0.5 out of 5 stars

If there's a lower than 1 star I would give that. When I talk to Mr. Manzi, he gave me hopes and the strategies he told me was awesome BUT when we are already in the court everything he told me that he will do turned around and he went to the other side. He helped the other party instead of helping me. He connived with the other lawyer and agreed in everything they want instead of fighting my battle. Be very careful getting this lawyer because he will just get your money and he will drop you like a ball. I don't recommend him at all!!!

It is unfortunate you find yourself in your present circumstance. My representation of you concluded last December when your underlying case went to judgment. We negotiated a favorable agreement in accordance with your instruction and acceptance. Your frustration with subsequent proceedings that I was never consulted or retained on, cannot and should not be the basis for your reviews. I cannot be responsible for the results of subsequent matters for which I was not retained or consulted. If you would have brought your issues to my attention, I would have provided assistance; however you did not retain my services. Regardless of your multiple reviews, I wish you the best and should you ever need representation in the future, please feel free to contact my office.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
