Suzanne prepared the Estate Plan (Revocable Living Trust) for my parents and also my Will. It's easy to see why Suzanne gets 5 Star ratings and is considered a Super Lawyer. Main reason is she is everything you want in an attorney. Easy to talk to, patient, caring, knowledgeable, efficient, explains things, someone you can trust and very experienced\knowledgeable in Maryland Estate Planning. Her legal assistant, Addy, was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. I highly recommend Suzanne for anything related to trusts and wills.

I went on google review looking for a good estate planning law firm. I read very good reviews about Simpson law firm, so I chose them for my estate planning needs, low and behold all the reviews I read were exactly what I experienced. Suzanne was very knowledgeable, efficient, she went above and beyond to help me with my needs. I walked in for consultation very confused but walked out positively informed. If I were to give more than five stars, I will definitely give her more, and I would use her again in the future. I highly recommend Simpson Law firm to anyone looking for estate planning.

Suzanne prepared my Revocable Living Trust, all well as a number of other estate documents. She was extremely professional, pleasant, and extremely patient in responding to all of my questions in a very timely fashion. I can definitely see why her law firm is rated so very highly, and I would without a doubt recommend it to others.

Being a novice to the world of law and estates, it was a great pleasure working with Ms. Simpson and her skilled staff. She explained everything very well, despite the subject complexity. Turnaround of work was prompt, pricing was reasonable, and I felt that all of my concerns were dealt with in a professional, kind, and orderly manner. I have already recommended her to others, and plan to continue to.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
