If you are co-parenting with a narcissist then Wendy will ruin your case beyond repair. She keeps her business afloat by taking astronomical retainers and $375 consultation fees, i doubt anyone stays with her after she quickly reveals her true colors. I paid her $8000 to represent me, her true colors showed very quickly after, after I fired her she told me retainer is gone and I owe her money! Now I noticed the 1 star reviews echo my experience and come with FACTS but the 5 star ones are posted by people who have only 1 to 2 reviews and sound like a sales pitch, or are from years ago when she was less expensive and probably nicer, Yelp too which unlike Google has an algorithm that takes out fake reviews and you can see them under the ?not recommended?, to one of those Wendy replied as if it was written by a real client even though it was a fake one as decided by Yelp, hmm? I noticed her seriously flawed logic in replying to the 1-star reviews, in one she starts attacking the reviewer by quoting irrelevant other review of theirs, in another she stated that she changed the level of her service when she found out their reality, for one it sounds abusive to blame the client for her bad service and more importantly it?s illogical and unethical to decide they don?t deserve her full service but she deserves to keep their full money!! Thats Wendy, if you make my mistake you?ll know that her prerogative is: 1- Get the biggest retainer you can when the client is still enchanted by your fake promises. 2- As soon as you receive the money then disappear and never return any emails or calls. 3- Keep the client in the dark about everything. 4- Abuse and gaslight them to think they have no case and that anything even if serious as physical abuse on the child is of no concern to the court, never ever try to show pictures or evidence to court or even build a case with the court. 5- If the other party has a good lawyer that cares to voice their wants and concerns no matter how trivial it is in court then just sit back and be a doormat, don?t find flaws in their arguments or find similar case for rebuttal like a lawyer is paid to do but let them have their way and agree to it without your client?s consent and if your client objects then gaslight them into believing that you told them and it?s their problem they don?t listen or just tell them it?s what the court ordered and your hands are tied. 6- When the client asks for the remainder of their retainer after they find your truth tell them it?s all gone and they actually owe you money, even if there?s no work nor evidence to show for that. I went through a lot of lawyers but Wendy by far is THE WORST and the most abusive of all, all her promises were nothing but lies, and she was the most lazy of all, no preparation, no communication, doesn?t care for any evidence to support her client nor to give her client voice in court, like others said she makes you think she?s the real deal then starts declining fast, after she gets your money, when you hire her you know that the other party has 2 lawyers; theirs who they pay for and Wendy who YOU pay for! She is that bad, she went the extra mile in everything to make sure the other party gets their way, had to go as far as lie and manipulate me then gaslight me. If she claims this is a fake review or that she found something about me that the privacy privilege prevents her from revealing or that I?m a coward hiding behind a screen then just go read all the negative reviews and see how many FACTS they all share in common, and go to Yelp and see how she replied to a fake review as if it?s real and you?ll know what kind of human she is, this alone tells you how much little time she dedicates for her clients cases! What lawyer has this amount of time to give for fake-reviews marketing and to rebut them and what lawyer has this amount of superficial and flawed logic? Shame on you Wendy taking people?s hard earned money using their love for their children.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
