While attending law school, he served as an editor of the prestigious Journal of Space Law, the world's oldest legal journal dedicated to the topic. Luke is active in his community. He is a former Sergeant-at-Arms of the Downtown Sertoma Club of Chattanooga and currently serves as the President of the board for the Folk School of Chattanooga, a non-profit organization.
