Highly recommended based on Kevin's knowledge of how things work at the DMV and in Criminal Court, case law, arrest procedures, and regulations. He's organized, diligent, and advocates for his clients best interests for the best possible outcome. He made sure my legal rights to fair treatment were defended by paying attention to every detail and by knowing what procedures should have been followed during my arrest. Through his effective counsel I was able to maintain my driving privileges and avoid revocation.

I used Kevin when I had a lot at stake for my personal and business situations. Kevin was personable, diligent, and on target in his defense of my case. Making mistakes in life happen to all of us but having a lawyer like Kevin in my corner at that time and the care that he showed my case will never be forgotten and always appreciated. Thank you, Kevin! V. Jones

Kevin is an absolute awesome lawyer. I googled the best DUI lawyers and a list came up and Kevin was on there. I hired Kevin because he had the best reviews as being one. He certainly exceeded my expectations for sure. He is very professional and at the same time very compassionate. No doubt he got me the very best deal I could have received. He also made the entire process very painless. It?s nice having someone like Kevin to have your back going through something like a DUI with multiple other charges. Thank you Kevin great job! I will refer you to anyone I know who needs a great lawyer.

Mr. Churchill did a great job representing my niece through her case. The first hearing didn't go very well, the judge was on attack, we were looking at best reduced charges. Before the second hearing he had time to review police body cam and gather supporting documentation. He then presented the documentation to the DA for review before the hearing. This gave the DA the opportunity to review the documentation supporting her side of what took place. Mr. Churchill had it easy at the hearing due to his pre-trial work. The DA requested for all charges to be dropped and sited multi examples why she came to this conclusion. The Judge honored the request and dropped all charges. Please note based on the detailed comments the DA made at the hearing she spent hours reviewing all the documentation that Mr. Churchill presented her.

Mr. Churchill skillfully represented my daughter through her bond hearing, and again at her plea & setting appearance. Kevin most distinguished himself at her sentencing hearing. We met outside the courtroom to review procedure and finalize his presentation to the judge. As we were waiting for her opportunity to stand before the court, I thought of some important, but previously undisclosed facts & evidence, and shared them with Kevin by passing a note. He whispered a few questions to clarify the new information, then on the spot, with no prior notice revised his argument just in time to speak briefly with the D.A., and stand before the judge with my daughter. Mr. Churchill delivered an impassioned, persuasive advocacy of my daughter's merits, and her efforts to make amends and personal improvements in the aftermath of her life-changing error in judgement. The result was better than expected in every area, and gave my daughter the encouragement and opportunity that she had tried to earn for herself in the weeks following her arrest. We watched several other cases as we waited for our turn. I have no doubt that Kevin Churchill was the best attorney in that courtroom!

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
