Our law firm was established on May 1, 2006, by H. Samuel Prim and R. Cliff Mendheim. Our firm excels in business and corporate law, real estate closings and litigation, title opinions, civil litigation, landlord/tenant issues, construction liens and litigation, probate and estate planning, collections, criminal defense and agricultural law issues.

Our goal is to vigorously represent our clients while remaining deeply involved with the future growth and prosperity of our community.

Our individual practice areas allow a diverse and broad range of services for our clients. The well rounded representation we offer covers anything from collections and real estate issues to corporate and business assistance including all facets of litigation services. Moreover, our collection division strives to meet the needs of our clients by handling billing and collection assistance with a wide range of medical and commercial debt. The firm’s collection division services both local and national clients and provides services in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Mississippi.

In addition, we encourage our clients to contact us with any legal issue that may arise. In the event that we do not have expertise regarding a particular issue, we routinely refer our clients to attorneys who do have the requisite expertise and work with those attorneys to resolve our client’s issue.

Our community service and involvement involve many charities and service organizations including the following: Dothan Rotary Club, Houston County Rotary Club, First United Methodist Church of Dothan, Wiregrass Habitat for Humanity, Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center, and Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce.

We look forward to continuing our representation of our current clients and welcome any potential new clients. Thank you for your time in reviewing our firm’s website and, should you have any further questions or desire to set up an appointment, please do not hesitate to contact us.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
