Sure David bragged about his accomplishments and he should. My experience with this attorney was great and he was nothing but fair. He actually got me and my ex to come together and finalize everything. David takes passion in what he does and this was money well spent.

Absolute crooked guy. He was appointed for the best of interests of children but his focus was making money. Keeps asserting his power as judge appointed crony. Children suffered from his actions, he forced teenage girl to get access to her phone. Used for his venegenance (for standing up to his arrogant behavior) he used minor kids against me, lied to court about his fees which I was paying him regularly. He brags about his visit to Obama and former UN security general and try to get children in his confidence but he has ulterior motive to show power (as judge appointed crony) and loot money which is for children also. Most of what he did was out of ego and to show power against laymen.

I hired him 1 Year for a simple child support/visitation case. He did absolutely nothing to help my case at all. Paid him over 3k. Terrible communication. Lies about simple things. Didn?t get anything done. Waste of money. Very passive. Would not recommend AT ALL

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
