I'm not really one to write reviews on Yelp or Reddit etc... But when Frank asked if I would give him a thumbs-up I jumped at the chance. I had a catastrophic fall while working on the job and was unable to continue working in my chosen profession because I was in so much pain. I told him I didn't want to "sue" anybody, that the Ins.Co. had been really helpful and I held no animosity towards my employer and that's when he explained we wouldn't be "suing" anybody. The workers "compensation" system is to "compensate" someone injured while working in New Jersey; period. No fault, no blame, no hostlity. He always spoke to me without talking down or using "legalese" terms. He said I had a life altering accident and should be compensated accordingly. He encouraged me to be truthful but make sure that I was as thorough as possible so no fact was overlooked. It took a looooooong time and he never complained or made me feel I was "wasting his time". In short, he's an awesome lawyer and a phenominal human being and if this whole episode has taught me anything it's to look for the silver linings in the dark clouds. Meeting Frank was definately one of them. I'd also like to thank his secretary Bobbie for all her help. She is so pleasant to speak on the phone with and super courteous in our email correspondence. I can't say enough about the whole firm. I consider it a blessing that I was given his name by a very dear friend. He said I had a life altering accident; and through all his hard work I received a life altering claim settlement. I will actually be able to retire someday which I had always assumed would never be the case. If you believe your situation to be "important" to you, I guarantee it will be important to Miller & Guadio. I'm not certain how long these reviews generally go on but I could go on for hours. They are the best outfit in N.J. hands-down. I wish them all the greatest success in the new year, they deserve it. Thanks for everything!

I had such a wonderful experience with Michael McMahon, as he helped me through so much during a traumatic experience case. He was sensitive to the situation and it was always in his best interest to help me as best as he could. He was very attentive as well whenever I needed to contact him with anything. I am truly so grateful for crossing paths with this firm.

Due to a very complex legal situation, I worked with Frank Gaudio and his staff over the course of a few years. From my first telephone call to the firm I found all of the staff to be responsive to my questions and concerns. Mr. Gaudio is a knowledgeable, skillful attorney who provided strong support and advocacy during a time of terrible stress for me. I always knew that he and the rest of the staff were there for me.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
