Clients rely on John Owen to protect their business interests in complex civil litigation before trial courts and arbitration panels throughout Texas and Oklahoma. He has over 30 years of experience focused on defending businesses and professionals in disputes covering a number of challenging areas, including medical malpractice, premises liability, products liability, non-subscriber workplace injury claims, workers’ compensation, architect and engineer liability, trucking and auto accidents, Dram Shop liability and wrongful death.
With his deep experience resolving a wide variety of litigation matters, John is often called on by courts and other lawyers to serve as a mediator in disputes involving all types of personal injury claims, professional liability, debt controversies and broken real estate and commercial deals. His strength is guiding litigants to a fair compromise in cases with complex fact issues, damages models and causation theories.
John is an active member of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Dallas, and he enjoys visiting elderly congregation members who are unable to attend regular church services. He has also served on the board of directors for the Ascension Day School since 2012.
