Harris & Associates, P.C. is a Boston law firm focusing in the prosecution and defense of personal injury and business litigation cases. Our lead partner, Brian P. Harris, has received Martindale-Hubbell’s AV* peer review rating, which is the highest rated category an attorney can achieve in the areas of legal skills and ethical standards. He has also received a 10.0 rating with Avvo which is considered “superb” in that company’s rating model. Our firm is committed to providing effective legal representation of the highest quality possible for every client we represent. We focus exclusively in practice areas relating to insurance and contract litigation, including personal injury claims, business torts and insurance defense.

From lessons learned during his days playing basketball at Bucknell University, and from years of experience as a trial lawyer at a larger firm, Brian Harris has developed an aggressive, goal-oriented approach to handling cases effectively to achieve a successful result.

Brian worked for several years as senior trial attorney at a larger litigation firm. Today, he brings more than 30 years of courtroom experience to our clients’ needs. He ensures that each client receives the benefit of attentive professional personalized service. At Harris & Associates, P.C., your attorney will maintain day-to-day control and responsibility over your case and will not delegate the handling to a junior associate. This is critical to ensuring that each case is handled by an experienced professional with an extensive understanding of insurance claims, claim resolution and litigation strategy.

From our offices in Boston, we represent individual plaintiffs, insurance companies, self-insured companies and other corporate entities involved in insurance, tort and business litigation matters. Our offices are conveniently located in the heart of the Boston business district. We are open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. weekdays. Arrangements can be made for evening and weekend appointments. We offer an initial consultation at no charge.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
