I had the privilege of working with Denitsa Kolev from Escobar Law Group for my DUI case, and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. Ms. Kolev's expertise and energetic approach resulted in the dismissal of my DUI charges and the clearing of all associated tickets. Escobar Law Group is truly the best in the Tampa Bay area. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend this law firm. My lawyer sat down with me, had discussions and made sure I understood everything that was being explained to me.

The law firm Of Escobar and Associates does not have your best interest for you in mind. Unfortunately, I hired them and paid the full amount to represent my husband in post-conviction sentencing. while I was in a meeting with Lawyer, Matthew Funderburk, Mr. Escobar walks out of his office and joins us in the meeting. Mr. Escobar expresses himself to me that getting a Judge to reserve another Judge's sentencing was merely impossible, even though they knew the high risk of trying to get the vindicated sentence reversed by using that strategy of implicating the judge as the sole culprit was a possible denial. Mr. Matthew Funderburk reassure us that he was confident that Judge Cisco would do right by the law and my husband reverse the sentencing, it backfired, and Judge Cisco denied the motion to reverse the vindicated sentence. In addition, they do not care if their client's rights are being violated, they are a big joke to the court. This firm is nothing else than money-seeking individuals they turn their back on their clients, instead of seeing to help and seeking justice for their client that had already served his time and still seating in prison because he refused to take time served.as a punishment 15 years were added to his original sentencing only because my husband exercised his right to a fair trial. The United States and Florida Constitutions declare that governments cannot deprive any person of life, liberty, or property without due process of law. U.S. Const. amends. V, XIV; Fla. Const. art. I, ? 9 They knew and still deprive my husband of his liberty, and Escobar & Associate did nothing to help the situation they left out evidence in the closing argument that would have helped my husband to be a freeman. I have also contacted the Escobar office multiple times to remind them to schedule the telephone meeting with my husband, which the lawyer should have already contacted him, at the end of the day Oscar Dopico is the client. it has been over two weeks unfortunate no telephone call has been scheduled with the classification officer at the prison. I hope our experience with this law office will STOP YOU from throwing your money away.

I met Attorney John Grant III in 2018. At our first meeting he told me exactly what he was going to do to resolve my case. He worked day and night and in conjunction with other lawyers to give me a favorable outcome. My case was a very unfortunate one which required an expert approach and an eye for details which John exhibited. He kept me informed every step of the way and when he could not speak to me directly, his associates conveyed his messages to me. I was never left in the dark and I was never left without counsel. John's wit, grit, tenacity, stamina and keen awareness of the circumstances surrounding my case was impeccable. John genuinely got to know me and my family. It wasn't just business as usual with John, it was personal. I was looking at 10 to 15 years but John fought for my freedom and won. John is without doubt the lawyer you want in your corner when all hope is lost. He will guide you to the light. Thank you John for all you did for me and my family.

I write this review through tears, because I don?t think there are words to express my gratitude to Rick Escobar and his team. It is not an exaggeration to say he literally saved mine and my family?s life. I had met and worked with several attorneys before being referred to Rick. He listened and believed in me and in my innocence. When others were pushing me to take a deal, Rick encouraged me to stick to my principles. After reviewing my case, he was the first to conduct a thorough investigation; something that had not been done by law enforcement or the state. Thankfully, he had the skills and experience to reveal the truth. Without Ricks dogged persistence I would still be facing first degree felony charges for something I did not do. The charges were dropped, when I had been facing a jury trial. Rick and his staff nurtured me through this long painful process. Although my faith in our system has drastically changed, I did learn that there are professional ethical attorneys out there. To simply say thank you would be an understatement! I will forever be indebted to Rick Escobar.

When I thought the world was falling on me knowing I?m innocent Mr.Escobar got all my charges dropped without me having to move a finger. It was as quick as possible and even got everything expunged.I would recommend him to anyone without a doubt he truly knows his ways in the system and is extremely professional. Sincerely Y.C

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
