I highly recommend attorney Fred Willumsen. He is professional, thorough, forthright, and kind. He communicated well throughout the process, took the time to answer any question I had, told me just how things were, whether good news or bad. He advised well on decisions I needed to make, and his support team did a great job in helping to navigate and resolved my case with the best results possible. Thanks again, Fred!

I worked with Donal McRoberts and I can say without hesitation that he is one of the most caring and hardworking people I know. He helped me through the absolute worst time in my life. Not only with my case but he made sure I was getting the medical help I needed too. It was a long and stressful road, but he made sure that I was fully aware of all my options. He would always take the time to sit down and explain every avenue and what could be the outcome of each one. I could never thank him enough for all he did, there were many times that I was scared, scared of having to see or talk about what I went through. He protected me the whole time, never letting myself or anyone else put me in a position that could hurt me (mentally). If you are looking for someone to be on your side whether it's be a quick case or a long haul Donal is who you need hands down.

Handled my case horribly initially signed me up and were unable to get the video that we had filed an electronic preservation of evidence form for, video which I was told they would be able to get before signing with them... After signing they were "unable" to get it and played soft ball with opposing attorneys leaving me with a minimal settlement and tried to manipulate me into feeling like it was a win, a pathetic duo and would not recommend them to anyone.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
