WHO WE ARE

We Fight Evil. Always Have, Always Will.

We have been a community-based law office since 1975. Our commitment to our clients -- individuals, groups, social service and arts organizations and small businesses -- is informed by our progressive politics. If you are a tenant, a worker, a non-profit corporation, a small business owner or a consumer, if you wish to co-own a residence, start your first business or non-profit agency, or if you have been the victim of employment discrimination, lead paint poisoning, employer electronic snooping, a consumer rip-off or other corporate greed, we would feel privileged to represent you.

Our approach to addressing legal concerns is client-centered. Our two attorney office emphasizes individualized, informed and empathetic service, and close communication with our clients. We are skilled and thorough negotiators and litigators, with experience in a wide variety of legal fields, including Consumer Protection, Privacy Rights, Tenants' Rights, Employment Discrimination, Non-Profit Organizations and Federal Tax Exemption, Divorce, Personal Injury, Wills and Trusts, and Real Estate, among many others.

We offer a sliding scale fee structure based on your household income, and we focus on working closely with you to achieve the best results possible. Lee Goldstein and Jeff Feuer are committed and experienced lawyers who take their responsibilities seriously, knowing that the legal problems and issues facing our clients can have a lasting impact on their lives.

We provide our clients with the highest level of advice and advocacy, and our commitment to serving as your attorney includes:

  • Giving your legal issues the close attention and analysis that you deserve.
  • Explaining all options to help you make an informed decision.
  • Giving you as much time as you need to speak with us.
  • Keeping you informed about the status of your case.
  • Maintaining client confidence.
  • Looking out for both your immediate needs and your long term interests.
  • Prompt return of your phone calls and e-mails.

We emphasize our personal communication with you, our zealous advocacy and our attention to all aspects of your case. Regardless of the size of the case, our goal is to obtain the most favorable result for each of our clients, using all of the legal tools at our disposal. Thoroughness, preparation and commitment are our watchwords.

As progressive lawyers, we are sensitive to the concerns of the communities in which we live and work, and we understand the role of the law in the wider context of the political and economic issues with which we all struggle. We are dedicated to providing you with professional service and vigorous advocacy, within the framework of important ethical and community values.

Our commitment at Goldstein and Feuer is to provide the highest level of performance and satisfaction that demonstrates both to clients and peers nothing less than the best legal advice and advocacy available. We are committed in our politics and proud of our client-centered focus and accomplishments. We invite you to learn more about who we are, who we represent and the wide range of services we offer. How do I choose a lawyer?

    Consider the following:

    Comfort Level
    - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

    Credentials
    - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

    Cost
    - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

    City
    - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

    • How long have you been in practice?
    • How many cases like mine have you handled?
    • How often do you settle cases out of court?
    • What are your fees and costs?
    • What are the next steps?

    Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

    • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
    • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
    • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
