I engaged Passero Employment Law as a small business owner. Mark was amazing in helping me through my legal situation. He kept me informed at all times during the drawn out process, was always available. He gave me very frank advice and made sure to always put my interest above his own. He handled the delicate balance of the principal-agent relationship with perfection. In the end he helped me achieve the best settlement possible. I would absolutely recommend Passero Employment Law to any small business owner looking for legal services.

Mark Passero was amazing throughout my whole process. He went above and beyond. He kept in touch with me, even if there wasn?t any new information to give to me. He let me know that and told me every single step we were going to take. It was very easy to get in touch with him. Via email or even calling AFTER hours to make sure all of my questions were answered. He truly does go above and beyond and I can?t say that enough and I am so pleased. I HIGHLY recommend Mark as your lawyer.

I absolutely enjoyed my engagement with Mark and the firm. Even during the most difficult time in my case, Mark was very reassuring and never tried to push me to accept a bad decision. In the end, the outcome was very favorable to us because of Mark's wise counsel. As an employer i would recommend this firm to other employers.

Working with Mark was truly a wonderful experience. We really are just picking a name from a modern-day hat during a very stressful period and just hoping for the best outcome possible which is why I felt leaving this review was important. From the moment you interact with Mark, you feel listened to and taken care of. Mark is outstanding at his craft, and it shows in his work, communications, his character and his follow-through. His knowledge of the law is impressive and overall if you are in need of an attorney that will represent you to the fullest, and fight for you OR possibly even just talk you through a situation, you will have no regrets calling Passero Employment Law.

Mark Passero was an incredible asset - so wise, informed, and easy to work with and communicate with. He advocated for me and knew where we had leverage and how to best use that leverage. He was kind, responsive and thorough. I would highly recommend him.

Mr. Passero was professional and friendly. His approach was objective and effective. As a client, I appreciated his overall demeanor regarding my situation. I never once felt judged or nervous. He was knowledgeable and showed concern for me not only as a client, but as a human being, truly helping me through a tough time. Mr. Passero is organized and punctual as well. I would high recommend him to anyone seeking representation related to employment matters.

Money grab. They were quick enough to take my case and charge many hours of fees. In the end, I paid thousands of dollars for one drafted document and a few emails to opposing counsel. Then when it came time to go to court, and with full knowledge I had little time before the statute of limitations expired, they sought an incredibly exorbitant amount for a litigation retainer, clearly just trying to get rid of me after they'd profited greatly for what surely amounted to only a few hours of work on their end. As a practicing attorney myself, I was stunned at the clear scheme. Very unprofessional to go about a case in that way, to provide absolutely no warning they'd charge a litigation retainer about three times any I've ever seen, and very unprofessional to wait until right before my statute of limitations timeframe was up. Then, after you're done, they bombard you with advertisement emails and ask for reviews.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
