Good afternoon . I was at McDonald's about 2 days ago tailoring Westlake California off of 3805 Court avenue the McDonald's store was sold to some Chinese people k they been in the business now for about maybe 4 months 5 months ... So anyway and those much times I used to go in and buy sausage biscuit hotcake with sausage they had a special two for two I used to eat that stuff every month always something different I was sitting in there doing my thing I'm a asenior so one morning I went in to get some ice and water for my birds I live in my car on the McDonald's property the owner gave me permission I can stay there until two days ago I walked in the order myself a senior drink and the lady the store manager came around the corner saying you cannot put no more ice in water and those containers are our drinks...I told her what are you talking about I never put salty Waters in these containers ever only water and ice so I can give my birds ice cold water and Mommy share to order a senior drink she told me that she didn't like what I told her about the drink man in the container when I told her it's only water she told me I had to get out of the store and not come back I told her I have not done anything wrong....so I went around the corner to see who was close to hear what she said to me to Latina men were sitting at the table and I asked them can you give me your name and telephone number so I can turn you over to my lawyer or my attorney if I get one so I can show that this lady does not deserve to be working here as a store manager he's very awful when these she told me to tame around the corner told me not to be disturbing the customers I told him I'm getting their telephone number and their name so I can give it to my attorney if I get one you told me you have to get out now so I didn't get a chance to get the third witness I only got to these people came out to where my car is that and gave me the telephone number and their name so the third witness we will have to subpoena her she also works for McDonald's in the lobby she knows that I never ever ever put drinks in these containers only water and ice thank you for Mr Wheatley I do not know if there's any way I have a case on this but this is a McDonald's store and if we do have a case I like to sue up to eight million dollars cuz I know they will try to settle out of court....

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
