These con artists tried to bill me twice, that wasn?t everything they took a very minor case and made it last almost a year. Two complete imbeciles

Mr Damico was hired to represent my brother, who was facing the possibility of losing his entire adulthood to prison. Had my family not hired him, I am certain that would've likely happened. The plea deal he arranged for my brother has allowed me to finally breathe easier and feel as if my family can put this nightmare situation behind us very soon. I read other reviews where people complained and gave 1 star ratings simply bc they were offered a plea deal rather than a trial. I don't get how that makes them bad lawyers or incompetent, etc. I know the person thoughtlessly bashing someone's professional reputation online isn't behind bars, yet the complaints abound. I even think one person said he would've been better off representing himself. Said person's grammar mistakes, misspelling and misuse of words suggest otherwise. I wholeheartedly disagree with anyone who posted 1 star reviews with asinine reasoning for such unnecessarily cruel actions, and I hope those criticisms do not discourage anyone from seeking legal counsel from Mr Damio or Mr. Stockstill.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
