5.0 out of 5 stars

To our surprise in September 2019 our Business was named in a lawsuit for a slip and fall mishap at an HOA we had worked for in the past. We were concerned that our insurance company would simply take part in a settlement offer. We were convinced we had no liability in this incident and, as a matter of principle, we requested legal representation to fight the suit. Robert Lapidow, Esq. partner of OMH Law Firm was retained as counsel for our case. Robert proved he was an excellent problem solver and advocate of justice. He obtained a dismissal of our company from the suit on December 4, 2019. There are several outstanding qualities this Law Firm processes. Robert truly understands the smaller construction contractor. He requested pertinent, relevant documentation from us and was quick to understand what it represented. Robert was open, honest and prompt to respond to our concerns. He took a firm stance in our defense. We recommend the OMH Law Firm, specifically Robert Lapidow, Esq. and will retain his services again if ever needed in the future. He truly represents Justice and will fight hard for the best outcome. Robert (Bob) it was pleasure working with you. Thank you. We wish you all the best. Atlas Concrete Solutions, Inc. Greenwood Village, CO. How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
