Jeffrey M. Weissman graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1969, where he was a General Motors Scholar. He obtained a Master of Arts in Teaching from Harvard University in 1970. After teaching high school English and physics, he received his law degree from New York University in 1974, where he was a Root-Tilden Scholar. He is a co-author of Taking Stock of the Court’s Jurisdiction in a SIPA Liquidation, 41 Brooklyn Law Review 1. Mr. Weissman is a member of the New York Bar and The Florida Bar. He is admitted to practice in all the trial and appellate courts of Florida, the federal District Courts of Florida, the federal Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is also admitted to practice in the state courts of New York, and the federal District Courts of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He has participated in over 106 trials and evidentiary hearings (including 23 jury trials). He practices at the firm’s Miami office.
