Abby has experience representing a diverse variety of plaintiffs and injured individuals. Whether representing a recreational bicyclist hit by an uninsured driver or a professional athlete unfairly ousted by his professional sports franchise, Abby has a passion for representing the victim and standing up to oppressive and unjust corporations. Abby has successfully negotiated on behalf of and litigated cases for military veterans, public officers, government employees, local universities, friends, family, attorneys, medical professionals, and others in their disputes against irresponsible parties and insurance companies.
Prior to representing injured individuals, Abby practiced as a business litigator at a large regional law firm and later, at a specialty business litigation law firm. She gained meaningful experience defending international banks, national insurance companies, and other corporations. Abby's prior practice as a defense attorney provides her with a unique perspective in understanding and anticipating defense strategy and other business implications involved in litigation, which she can now employ to her clients' advantage.
Outside of the office, Abby is a member of the Board of Directors for Restorative Justice Louisville, an organization designed to provide a restorative approach to the traditional criminal justice system by bringing together the offender, victim, and community to find the best possible resolution for those impacted by a crime.
Abby also participates as a Board member and coach for Girls on the Run Louisville, a mentoring program for young girls in grades 3-5. In her spare time, Abby enjoys volunteering, running, traveling, reading, and spending time with her husband, Jordan, and dog, Stringer.
Abby grew up in Louisville and graduated from duPont Manual High School with honors, while playing three varsity sports. She graduated from the University of Georgia Honors College, with high honors, where she had the opportunity to study abroad in Verona, Italy and at the University of Oxford in England. Immediately after college, Abby completed her legal education at the University of Kentucky College of Law. Upon her graduation, the law school faculty voted Abby into the Order of the Coif, an honor society available only to those who graduate in the top 10% of their graduating class.
