I am attorney, Aislynn Thomas-McDonald, and from my office, Thomas-McDonald Law Firm, PA, in Miami, Florida, I strive to provide the highest level of legal representation and client support possible to families facing challenging, sensitive and complex legal challenges.

Serving clients throughout Miami-Dade, Monroe and Broward counties as well as all of the surrounding areas of South Florida, I possess more than 15 years of professional experience, and I established my law firm to offer my unique brand of sage legal counsel combined with personable report for my clients. Every family deserves their rights protected and objectives achieved by a legal professional who truly cares. This description fits me. I exceed my client's goals with regards to any of the following matters:

  • Divorce, collaborative law and uncontested divorces
  • Family mediation
  • Timesharing disputes and other custody issues
  • Domestic violence protections
  • Adoptions and surrogacy agreements
  • Paternity actions
  • Prenuptial agreements
  • Estate planning, wills, trusts and probate

Certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a family mediator, I can help you resolve your conflicts and reach agreements that work for all involved without having to resort to expensive, stressful and time-consuming court battles. When two parties can work together during the divorce process, they have more control over the outcome of their case, and all proceedings remain private to protect your sensitive legal issues.

Before becoming an attorney, I served as an educator for years, so I have a genuine compassion for children and always want to do what is best for them. I am also a staunch advocate for the rights of women, and I devote a lot of my time to domestic violence awareness and prevention.

Recognized for my impeccable professionalism and exceptional service, I hold an AV-Preeminent peer review rating* from Martindale-Hubbell, and I have received top marks on various client and peer review sources. This means you can expect to receive the compassionate counsel you deserve from your attorney - who will strive to aggressively pursue the most favorable outcome possible for your situation.

For more information on how I can best help you and your family in your time of need, you can contact the Thomas-McDonald Law Firm, PA, by calling my office or visiting my website to schedule a consultation.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
