it has taken more then 2 years to work on my case and yet still no results not on my end anyway not sure why you take the time 2 years ago to actually use them being out of work for this long and 10 mouth's ago you said you was playing phone tag with them very disappointed in your service I really wish I had known that you was going to take your time on my case because I could have gotten watermark and Keith to do a better job please I won't this over so I can move on with my life and leave all this Alabama stuff behind me its funny how you have only good reviews because you delete the ones you don't want people to see and that's not honest how can anyone trust you if you don't want people to talk about you don't do peoples wrong. I'll never use a small firm again its talking to long

I am truly disappointed to learn that your experience with my firm is anything other than "five-star." As the owner, I strive to get the absolute best results for my client in each and every case we handle, and in a timely manner. In fact, most of the cases we handle are resolved within 60-90 of completing treatment, which is faster than the industry standard. Unfortunately, it is not always possible (or advisable) to settle a case quickly. Contrary to your assertion that you hired my firm more than two years ago, you did not retain my firm until November 6, 2018. Prior to that time, you were represented by another reputable law firm, for whom you left a similarly negative review before firing them and hiring us. As we also discussed, your case presented some rather unique challenges, which I will of course not discuss in this forum. I have attempted to contact you several times to see what I can do to make things right with you, but my calls and emails have not been returned. I apologize if our service did not live up to your expectations, and I genuinely wish you all the best in pursuit of this matter and all your future endeavors. Sincerely, Derek Simms

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
