Attorney Nathan Sukhia is knowledgeable, professional, and does a brilliant job. We have used attorney Nathan Sukhia twice. First in a minor dispute with our HOA--Nathan was very responsive, had ready answers to our questions, and made us feel as though we were valued clients even though our case was small. In addition, his team in the office were professional, courteous, and kind. We were so impressed that we asked him to handle our estate planning as well. We have five young children and we wanted to ensure their care if something happens to us. Nathan's knowledge of the issues at hand--as well as the potential pitfalls of various options--was critical as we made our plans. We would highly recommend the Nathan to anyone!

We had a fairly simple personal injury case and were very happy with Gig Harbor Law's services. This was my first case and didn't know what to expect, but they were very helpful, explaining each stage of the process and their fee structure, and keeping me posted at each stage of negotiation. Very satisfied and would highly recommend to others.

We wanted to contact an attorney in the local Gig Harbor area and met with Nathan Sukhia of Gig Harbor Law about a personal injury matter. Right away we felt at ease. He and his friendly staff made us feel welcomed and Nathan took his time to explain the procedure and answer our questions. He took on our case and we get regular updates as things progress. We are pleased to have him represent us.

Good experience with an estate planning matter. The initial consult with Nathan was detailed and informative, had to take notes. Staff was easy to work with and efficient, easy to communicate with. I would check them out if you are in need.

I have never written a review but found myself pouring through them to find an attorney to help me navigate the probate process after my mom passed away. I thought it was a little hypocritical to rely on the reviews and not leave one myself. Nathan Sukhia (Gig Harbor Law) had excellent reviews, so I decided to give him a try. I must say, I feel like I hit the lottery when I found him! Even though my mother had a will, I found the process to close her estate daunting and overwhelming. Nathan had it handled and closed in no time! I had also been injured in an accident just prior to my mother’s death. It was rather complicated because it was an on-the-job injury, but also had a much larger personal injury component. I had been working with a personal injury attorney for a short time, but that attorney was completely unresponsive. When I found out Nathan handled personal injury cases I immediately transferred my case to him. Once again, Nathan delivered. He and his team managed my case for nearly two years. He did an excellent job of explaining the process and setting my expectations. He was in constant contact during the entire process. He and his team took care of all the paperwork, tracking and coordinating the multiple insurance explanation of benefits for all my medical appointments. The insurance issues alone, would have been a nightmare to sort out. Nathan was always available to take my call or respond an email. He was more than an attorney; he was also my advocate. Not only did he handle my case, but he also checked in with me frequently to make sure I was receiving the medial care I needed. When it came time to start negotiations with opposing counsel, he was assertive, yet fair and reasonable. He gave me options on how to proceed and offered his opinion on the various options, but always allowed me to make the final decision. I trusted his advice and judgment, and in the end, he secured a much higher settlement than I had anticipated. While I was thrilled with the settlement, I was even more impressed with the hospitality of Nathan and his team. Everyone is professional, yet personable and down to earth and they truly cared about how I was doing throughout the 2-year ordeal. I am now working with Nathan on my estate planning and have every confidence that it will be handled in the same professional fashion as all my other affairs have been. If you need an attorney, give Gig Harbor Law/Nathan a call. You will not be disappointed!

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
