Mr. Edwards is a member of the 14th Judicial District Bar, Durham County Bar Association and National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is a former chief assistant public defender in North Carolina and Florida. He is admitted to practice before state and federal courts including the Supreme Court of the United States and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Mr. Trenkle was the first capital defender named in North Carolina and co-founder of North Carolina’s Capital Defender Office. He is a former assistant public defender in Orange and Chatham County and a member of the 15B Judicial District Bar. He is admitted to practice before state and federal courts including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
