With Cheeley Law Group, LLC, working on my lawsuit against a large Corporation, on what seemed to be a straight forward open and shut case to me, turned into years of battling back and forth. The staff of the Cheeley Law Group, LLC, with every step of the battle would contact me with the information and braking it down from legal attorney statements, into everyday layman terms which would be more comprehensible by me. They would give me references from cases similar as possible to mine and express a few avenues we could take to the end result. Then ask my opinion on the direction for us to take, all while letting me know of the roadblocks we could face in that avenue if any, and or how we could get around or through them. All while letting me know, the direction we take would have to be authorized by me. The staff at the Cheeley Law Group, LLC, helped me to feel comfortable with suggestions of health counseling close to where I live, if I choose to use it. They also would come to my location when I was not in the frame of mind to go anywhere if we had up and coming meetings, regardless if I were in or out of town. Thanks to the Cheeley Law Group, LLC, we were victorious, and I am very satisfied and greatful with the settlement and performance of the representation that was brought forth on my behalf by them. If ever anyone that I know or even if I need the service of the Cheeley Law Group, LLC again, without hesitation, for great results I will pass the information on, or give them a call. Thank you, Cheeley Law Group, LLC, for an outstanding performance! Anthony Bibbs

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
