This was July 9, 2009. A 80yr old lady ran a stop sign 4 minutes from my home.My life and the life of my children changed forever. I knew Mr Adams prior to this because I co-owned a small cleaning business and had the pleasure of Mr. Adams business. When this accident happened being single left my parents in charge. They knew Brent was the one I'd want on my side. While I focused on my battle to recovery Brent went to battle for my financial future. He fought against a large insurance company to make sure I received a fair settlement. He was ready with FACTS and delivered them with confidence. He worked quick and was sure to address my concerns with positive reassurance. I am proud to say today he's not JUST a Fantastic Lawyer he is my friend. God shows you what and who belongs in our lives I'm grateful Mr Brent Adams is on my team.

I will not work with this law firm again. Just awful… this is my second time working with this law firm. Crishon Johnson don’t return calls or emails. As a personal injury lawyer she should know talking to clients is what matters. Will not recommend….

Laura, a case worker in Fayetteville, NC, was very helpful in recommending an appropriate law firm to deal with my case involving intellectual property theft. She proved to be prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
