I thought my lawyer did a great job getting the matter settled in a timely manner

I had Danielle DiFiore and I would not recommend her to anyone! She communicates directly with opposing party via email and phone and does not keep you in the loop. When you confront her about something, she says that it was a misunderstanding on your part or that you didn't listen her to her correctly on the phone. I received copies of court documents from opposing party with no explanation of what I was required to do. I had to really push to have a face to face meeting as she always wanted to do things over the phone and that is how things became inconsistent. She lied several times! I now have $2K less and she got me NO WHERE in the my legal process. I sent an email complaint to Carl Anderson, owner of the firm, and of course, he did not even want to see the documentation of my complaints in detail. Not a firm I would trust for anyone!

Danielle DiFiore and Anderson Law has far exceeded my expectations. Danielle is very straight and to the point, very knowledgeable, and treated my case with diligence. During the entire legal matter she clearly explained the law and the processes that made me wish I had gone to her sooner. I will always recommend Danielle to everyone that asks for "the Best Attorney in Rochester".

I have known Carl since nursery school or over 50 years! To this day he continues to be a straight shooter, his legal advice spot on, the accessibility to him and his staff outstanding, rates always very competitive, and the outcomes from the cases he has worked on for myself and my family have always been very, very favorable. This guy knows the law, can negotiate settlements, and when push comes to shove provides solid in court presence that permeates the courtroom and conveys a sense of confidence that translates into 'We are going to win'! When legal issues arise, Anderson Law Firm is ALWAYS my first move and I live out on the West Coast.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
