Mr. Kielty has worked at four different law firms over his twenty-eight year career,
handling every facet of defense litigation including auto and personal injury claims, business
disputes, and construction-defect litigation, before starting his own firm in 2009. His experience
at those firms included personal injury and business arbitrations, lengthy construction defect
trials representing cross-defendants, as well as a personal injury trial on behalf of the defense
involving paraplegia and brain injuries.
He has tried construction defect cases for the developer/general contractor, and argued
successfully in the Court of Appeal, which resulted in the Gouvis decision (1995) 37 Cal. App.
4th 642. In August 1999, he concluded eighteen months of work on an unfair business practices
lawsuit, on behalf of sixteen cellular telephone agents and dealers against US West, Airtouch and
others, resulting in a recovery to the clients in excess of $2.5 million.
He has worked on fraud cases, in one instance where a business client was defrauded in
excess of $500,000. Through hard work and diligence, Mr. Kielty was able to obtain significant
judgments for that client, totaling in excess of $2.9 million, which included elements of punitive
damages, interest, attorney fees, and trebling of damages.
In over the twenty-eight years of practice, Mr. Kielty has handled hundreds of cases,
taken well over a thousand depositions, prepared and argued hundreds of motions before the
court, as well as made hundreds of court appearances. Through the years, Mr. Kielty has
provided efficient and effective representation of his clients. He has a reputation for
thoroughness, fairness and integrity.

accidents involving uninsured, underinsured, and contested liability claims, to multi-client
business dispute matters involving multi-million dollar claims, and complex cases where a Judicial Council Coordinated Proceeding (in California state court), and Multi-District Litigation
(in Federal court) protocols have been ordered.
