Lorry worked at the Missouri Court of Appeals Western District as their staff counsel for ten years. This experience provided her with great insight of the court system and how to evaluate cases to gain the best result for clients. She also worked at the Missouri Attorney General's office representing the Second Injury Fund and multiple state agencies. Her work at the Attorney General's office allowed her to appear before the Missouri Division of Workers' Compensation, the Missouri Labor and Industrial Relations Commission and the Missouri Court of Appeals.
Lorry obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and Public Relations from William Jewell College Liberty, Missouri in 1984 and made the Dean's List. Lorry obtained her juris doctorate degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 1990 and graduated Order of the Coif. Following her accomplished graduation from UMKC, Lorry was accepted as a member of Missouri bar and a year later was accepted as a member of the Kansas Bar.
Lorry resides in Kearney Missouri with her husband, Mark, and their four children. Lorry is active in her local church, Kearney parent teacher organizations, Kearney Quarterback Club and a Kearney Soccer Booster. Lorry has also served on the Clay County Disability Resource Board for 12 years and served as chair of that organizations for 4 years. Lorry feels it is very important to give back to community and volunteers regularly at multiple organizations.
