am a local professional photographer who had photographs used without my permission. One of which included my daughter and depicted her as a troubled youth. She is I assure you the farthest thing from troubled. Jennifer was swift in drafting a cease and desist letter and having it delivered to the other party. The images were eventually taken down with out the need of court. I am highly satisfied in the results she got for me! I will continue to use her and recommend her to everyone.

If I could give her no stars I would. She?s more friendly with the prosecutors than she is with her clients. I paid her for a case that she KNEW she couldn?t win. And I stead of telling me that she just took my money and bullshitted the entire time. Other lawyers were more upfront and communicated better than she did. But by the time I found a better lawyer I was out of money. GO WITH TEDDY BLACK!!!! He?s going to keep it 100% honest with you and work for YOU not the prosecutor.

Very unprofessional. Doesn?t care about end goal of seeing what?s best for client, failed to do her job on several occasions.. the court room is a professional place of business not a girls locker room for family drama. DO your job! Needs to stick to traffic court if she can?t handle doing her job when it comes to children! Please do yourself a favor & find someone else to work with.....

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
