Lawyer Overview
Although I have not been a lawyer very long, I've had some great experiences. I started working for Holman Schiavone, LLC during my second semester of law school. By the time I graduated, I had assisted in three jury trials, represented multiple people who had been denied unemployment benefits, and argued in front of the Missouri Supreme Court. I started working for Holman Schiavone, LLC during my second semester of law school. By the time I graduated, I had assisted in three jury trials, represented multiple people who had been denied unemployment benefits, and argued in front of the Missouri Supreme Court. I also competed in mock trial competitions around the country. Within 18 months after receiving my law license, I had four trials, two of which resulted in verdicts in excess of $1 million. I constantly strive to learn more and become a better trial lawyer because I know in the end, it will help my clients.

I was born in Tennessee and lived there until I was 14, when my family moved to Nebraska. My parents raised me to work hard, be respectful, and look out for others. I'm proud to work at a law firm that stands up for people whose rights have been violated. Employment law can be complicated and challenging. If you have been wronged, we're here to help.  Read less

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:
Comfort Level - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
Credentials - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
Cost - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
City - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?
