Jennifer O'Connell - Baton Rouge, LA

Jen was born and raised in Mandeville, Louisiana where she grew up practicing ballet and playing sports. She attended Southeastern Louisiana University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Political Science in 2009. Jen then received her Juris Doctorate from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2012, where she graduated on the Chancellor's List.

During law school, Jen received the Cali Award for Advanced Appellate Advocacy. She also received a "Best Oral Advocate" at the American Bar Association Moot Court Competition two years in a row.

In her current practice, Jen primarily handles workers' compensation and general liability. She has successfully defended her clients through trial and appeal. Jen also assists clients with educational seminars and keeping them updated on the current law in Louisiana.

Outside of work, Jen is an active member of the Baton Rouge Community. She is on the leadership council for Boys and Girls Club of Baton Rouge and is the 2019 chair the organization's annual black tie gala. Jen volunteers at LSU Law with their annual moot court and trial advocacy competitions. She also helps her old moot court team prepare for their annual competitions. Lastly, Jen is also a local fitness instructor and avid rock climber.
