Jess practices exclusively in the areas of divorce, custody, parentage, child support and custody enforcement, adoption, guardianship, protective orders and other related matters. She is also a qualified private Guardian ad Litem for the Utah Office of Guardian ad Litem and is frequently appointed by the Court to represent children in high-conflict divorce and custody cases. Jess is the President of the Association of Collaborative Professionals of Utah and has presented on Collaborative Law to other attorneys and professionals in the area. She loves camping with her family, two chow chows and her vintage 1967 Shasta trailer.

Jess earned her B.A. at the University of Utah in 2005 and graduated from Gonzaga School of Law in 2009. In 2009, she held an externship with the Honorable Judge O. Reilly in the Spokane County Superior and Juvenile Courts. She also held an extended internship with the Seattle-based youth advocacy group, TeamChild, where she created and facilitated an education advocacy program in combination with the Spokane Juvenile Court. Jessica was recognized for her work on a case at Gonzaga's University Legal Assistance, which led to the return of the Sudanese refugee client's children to her rightful care and custody. Jessica founded the Gonzaga Student Alliance for Social Justice and served on the boards for the Gonzaga Public Interest Law Project, the Gonzaga Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union, and the Access to Justice Law School Relations Committee.
