Law Firm Overview

The Powell Law Firm, P.A. offers legal services in both State and Federal courts, providing appellate and trial support services in cases arising from all areas of civil and criminal practice.

The firm is associated in cases by attorneys throughout the state to assist in providing the most effective and comprehensive representation possible. Our trial support work includes the preparation of major pre-trial motions and memoranda, presentation of arguments to the trial court, assistance to trial counsel in order to ensure that the client's right to appeal is preserved, and the preparation and presentation of post-trial motions.

At the appellate level, our services include the management and prosecution of the entire case, including the preparation of motions, appellate briefs and the presentation of oral argument. The firm handles appeals arising from medical negligence, intentional torts, general negligence, breach of contract, insurance bad faith, wrongful death, products liability, maritime law, attorney-client privilege, criminal prosecutions and medical licensing disputes.

It is our goal to provide our clients with one-on-one personal attention; we want our clients to feel comfortable with us and confident in our abilities. As a result, the firm is selective in the cases it accepts so that we may provide individualized attention to these cases and build proper relationships with our clients. Although we vigorously advocate our clients' positions, we are committed to maintaining the highest level of personal integrity, professional ethics and civility in the practice of law.

The firm has offices in Miami and Key West, Florida, but deals with clients and handles legal matters throughout the State of Florida and the United States.
