Ms. Swann's practice extends to both controversy work and tax planning.  She specializes in interest, penalties and tax collection issues, as well as TEFRA partnership procedures and civil tax litigation.   

Prior to joining Kundra & Associates in 2009, Ms. Swann litigated civil tax appeals in federal and state courts for the Department of Justice, and served in the Office of Chief Counsel at the Internal Revenue Service, advising on complex procedural and collection issues.  Most recently, Ms. Swann has focused on Subchapter K transactional tax, developing a partnership expertise within the area of tax litigation and controversy work while working for the accounting firm, KPMG, LLP.  Having represented both taxpayers and the Government during all phases of tax disputes and in a wide variety of forums--including audit, administrative appeals, tax court and appellate litigation, Ms. Swann combines a far ranging knowledge of substantive tax law with an understanding of the complex procedural, evidentiary and jurisdictional issues that often arise in effectively defending a taxpayer's position in court.  Ms. Swann provides technical expertise and dedication to our clients.
