Brittany Barrientos joined Newman, Comley & Ruth as an associate in August 2009, and is focusing her practice on environmental law, general civil litigation, and family law. She graduated with honors from the University of Missouri School of Law in May 2009, where she was the Managing Editor of the Journal of Dispute Resolution, a teaching assistant, and an executive board member of the MU Board of Advocates.

Throughout law school, Ms. Barrientos was involved in the Mid-Missouri community as an active mentor for the Boys & Girls Club, the vice president of the Hispanic Law Student Association, and a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and the domestic violence shelter.

Before law school, Ms. Barrientos graduated from Texas Tech University, where she was a reporter and editor of The Daily Toreador, Texas Tech’s student-run newspaper. Ms. Barrientos currently lives in Jefferson City, Missouri, and enjoys running, spending time with her friends, family and puppies, getting to know the Jefferson City community, and cheering on the Mizzou football team!.
