She chaired the Charities Committee while there and was a member of Phi Alpha Delta. Attorney Mierzwa earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems with a Minor in Pre-Law from Pace University, Pleasantville, NY. She also studied International Law in Greece with the Tulane Law School in New Orleans, LA.

Attorney Mierzwa was active as a Cabinet Member of the Student Government Association at Pace, Vice President and Representative of the Greek Council, President of the Nu Zeta Phi Sorority wherein they raised over $6,000 for Breast Cancer Research. She also served as Co-Editor of the Legend Yearbook in the Clubs & Organizations Section.
