Lawyer Overview

Ramsey Burke Patton practices family law to create positive change in the lives of her clients. For her effective legal representation, she has been selected one of the Rising Stars of family law and featured in Texas Monthly.

Her strengths as a family lawyer are the ability to work with clients, analyze complex legal issues, write, research, and construct effective arguments.

Ms. Patton joined Koons, Fuller, Vanden Eykel & Robertson in 2007 after spending her first year and a half as a lawyer with a large downtown Dallas firm. There she worked as a Trial Associate and became well versed in the gathering and use of electronic discovery.

Ms. Patton earned her Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from the University of Texas School of Law in 2005, after earning her Bachelor of Arts in history and art history, summa cum laude, from Vanderbilt University in 2002.

As an undergraduate, she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. In law school, she worked as a student attorney in the domestic violence clinic. She also spent a summer interning in the Dallas County District Attorney's Office and Public Defender's Office.

Since becoming a licensed attorney, Ms. Patton has worked with the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program representing multiple clients in divorce proceedings and has staffed and attended the Hurricane Relief Legal Clinic. In a recent famous case, Ms. Patton served pro bono as a guardian ad litem for one of the FLDS children in the YFZ ranch case.

She is a member of the Dallas Bar Association, Dallas Young Lawyers Association, Texas Bar Association, Texas Young Lawyers Association, and Annette Stewart Inn of Court.

Ms. Patton and her husband live and work in Dallas.
