Lawyer Overview
Aubrey Connatser gets a major share of accolades for a young lawyer. She is one of the youngest Texas Super Lawyers. Recently, she earned board certification in family law from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. And she is one of the youngest ever to be promoted to Partner at Koons Fuller.
Managing Partner Ike Vanden Eykel, who expresses pride in his firm's many young lawyers, says, "This young woman is so smart and hard working that we all know whatever she takes on will be done right and her clients will love her."
While settling cases is always Ms. Connatser's primary goal, she knows her way around the courtroom. For example, in one case she worked out a child support modification only to have the other side renege on the agreement the next morning in open court. She tried the case on the spot and won her client an even higher support amount.
Ms. Connatser often works in conjunction with Mr. Vanden Eykel on his large-asset cases, and he marvels at her quick mind and winning ways with clients, judges, juries and even opposing counsel.
Ms. Connatser earned her bachelor's degree in psychology (with high honors) from the University of Texas at Austin in 1998 and her J.D. (with honors) from the University of Texas School of Law in 2001.
While an undergraduate, Ms. Connatser was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the Liberal Arts Honors Program and was an Endowed Presidential Scholar. In law school, she was a member of the Texas International Law Journal, was active in the University of Texas Domestic Violence Clinic and participated in Moot Court.
She is a member of the Dallas Bar Association and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers (DAYL). She is co-chair of the DAYL Lawyers Against Domestic Violence Committee, past co-chair of the Dallas Bar Association's Pro Bono Activities Committee, the DBA Legal Lines Committee and the DAYL Child Support Enforcement Committee and a board member of the DBA Family Law Section. She is a member of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Texas and was also elected to the Annette Stewart American Inn of Court.
Ms. Connatser was born September 29, 1976 in Dallas and was the outstanding graduate of the Class of 1994 at The Episcopal School of Dallas. She and her husband, also an attorney, live and work in Dallas.
