Whether you are charged with a single misdemeanor offense in the District Court or the Juvenile Court, or a lifetime felony in Superior Court, he is ready to fight for every right that you deserve - and he is with you every step of the way. You can be confident you have a lawyer that has represented individuals charged with offenses ranging from OUI/DWI, License Suspensions, Theft Crimes, Homicide, Juvenile Offenses, Assault and Battery, Probation Violations, Armed Robbery, Drug Possession, Domestic Restraining Orders as well as a range of other offenses.
William is well known for his trial advocacy. He takes special pride in his representation of juveniles charged with criminal offenses. He has served two Governors as a member of the Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee (JJAC). The JJAC, along with other experts, give the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety input in developing a statewide plan for identifying and offering guidance on matters relating to delinquency prevention and overall child well-being.
William also served as a Director for Justinian Society of Massachusetts. The Justinian Law Society was founded in 1943 as the Massachusetts Italian Bar Association the Society offers a wide range of educational programs, an active scholarship program for promising law students, and a popular series of social events. William is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, The U.S. District Court, The U.S. Appeals Court, The U.S. Supreme Court, and The Veteran Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and the U. S. Department of Defense for Military Commissions. A long-time Wakefield resident, business owner and former Board Member of Registrars, William has served as a U.S. Army Officer and Paratrooper and was candidate for Governor's Council 6th District of Massachusetts in 2006.

Attorney Barabino is aware that any crime that you're charged with can have additional consequences beyond the criminal conviction or disposition. A criminal record can affect you employment options including termination, failure to promote or simply a refusal to hire. For example, some criminal charges can be unrelated to motor vehicles yet allow s the Registry of Motor Vehicles to suspend your driving license for months and in some cases even years. A criminal record may result in a denial, suspension or termination of professional licenses(s) for both federal and state occupations. Additionally many individuals are surprised to learn that a criminal charge or conviction can result in license-to-carry firearms being suspended or taken away all-together. Certain offenses come with registration requirements such as the Sex Offender Registry Board (SORB). Attorney Barabino is aware of these collateral consequences and realizes the importance of ensuring that these rights are protected and everything that can be done on your behalf is done and it's done right.
JUVENILE OFFENSES If you are under 17 years of age then you are considered a juvenile under Massachusetts Law. You can be charged with many crimes in Juvenile Court and zealous advocacy is essential to ensure that what took place becomes a problem of the past with minimal effect to your future. As a juvenile have a full life to live and you shouldn't begin it with a criminal conviction. You also have to be aware of collateral consequences, just as you would an adult. For example, if you're charged with a crime and you're a student in a public school you could be expelled. If you are expelled or suspended I am ready to defend your rights before the school superintendent or principal. I have successfully advocated before several schools districts including but not limited to Lynn, Swampscott and Salem.
