Lawyer Overview

Amos Friedland is a litigation associate in Wiggin and Dana's New Haven office. He joined the firm in 2008 after working as a summer associate in 2007 and a law student intern during the 2007-2008 school year. His work to date is primarily in complex litigation.

Amos received his B.A. Honors in Philosophy from McGill University in 1997, graduating with the highest grade point average in his program. He earned his Ph.D. in Philosophy in 2003 from the New School for Social Research, where he won the Hans Jonas award for best philosophy dissertation. He then spent two years as a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Counsel of Canada Post-doctoral Fellow, researching and teaching at McGill University. In 2008, Amos received his J.D. from Yale Law School where he was a teaching assistant for torts, a member of the post-9/11 Balancing Civil Liberties and National Security Clinic, and an editor for Yale Law and Policy Review. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut.

Amos serves on the boards of The Diaper Bank and the Children's Museum/Creating Kids, and is the coordinator of the joint Yale Law School Liman Project - Wiggin and Dana Diaper Bank Legislation Project.
