Responsible for the planning and execution of operational plans for special events which encompassed up to 500,000 visitors to the area, (i.e. Speed Weeks, Spring Break, Bike Week, etc.). Also responsible for the Part Time Police Officer Program which had approximately 100 members and budget of $660,000.00. Received several commendations for performance of duty.

Patrol Sergeant 1997
Supervised up to 12 patrol officers at a time during their shifts.
Received commendation for performance of duty, which included the investigation of a home invasion and capture of the suspects.

Detective 1994 - 1997
Successfully investigated crimes which ranged from property crimes to persons crimes. Was selected to the Major Case Unit which led to the successful investigation of several major case crimes, including murders, which resulted in conviction of defendants and issuance of long prison terms. Received several commendations for performance.

Motor Officer 1988-1993
Concentrated on the enforcement of civil traffic laws while continuing with the enforcement of criminal laws. Conducted extensive research into the causation of pedestrian accidents which included deaths in a specific geographic area. As a result of research, made recommendations which were followed and significantly reduced pedestrian accidents in that area. Received several commendations for performance of duty which included a commendation for my performance while acting as the unit supervisor.

Street Crime Detective 1988
Conducted successful undercover investigations into street level narcotic violations which gave way to successful criminal prosecution of those suspects. Received Distinguished Service Citation for work on the unit.

Patrol Officer 1983-1988 & 1993-1994
Preliminary investigation into criminal activity and enforcement of criminal and traffic laws. Received several commendations.
