Lawyer Overview

Alex Yang's practice focuses on mergers & acquisitions and general corporate matters and includes support of international litigation and banking matters.

While in law school, Alex served as the research assistant at the Asian Center for WTO & International Health Law and Policy. During this time he provided legal advise to the Bureau of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Economic Affairs; the Bureau of International Cooperation, Department of Health; and the Bureau of Medical Affairs, Department of Health. In addition, he participated in research projects involving amendments to the Bankruptcy Act and Debt Clearing Act and the Culture and Arts Reward Act. He worked on developing programs for ethical education in domestic law schools as well.

Alex was also chief editor of two English journals: the Asian Journal of WTO & International Health Law and Policy and Contemporary Asia Arbitration Journal. He participated in the WTO Moot Court Competition held by the European Law Students Association, where he served as a team member and as team coach, respectively, winning fifth place in 2006 and runner-up in 2008 in the Grand Final.
