Nick Burgess advises public and private companies on all aspects of M&A transactions across a wide range of industries. He also has advised on many initial public offerings and placings on the London Stock Exchange.
Nick's most recent experience includes representing Altimo in a ground breaking $23.8 billion transaction with Telenor to combine their respective holdings in VimpelCom, the Russian mobile operator, and Kyivstar, the Ukrainian mobile operator, under Vimpelcom Ltd., a new holding company to be listed on the NYSE.
Nick's experience prior to joining Jones Day in 2009 included advising a leading U.S. business software provider on its takeover of a U.K. listed provider of software solutions and services, a U.K. private equity fund on its takeover of a U.K. listed computer services group, a multi-national consortium on its takeover of a U.K. listed provider of port services and facilities, the underwriter on the admission of a specialist metals producer to the Official List of the London Stock Exchange, and a U.K. investment fund on its admission to the Specialist Fund Market.
