Patrol

Attorney Darrell York patrolled the streets and responded to crimes in progress and 911 calls. He made arrests for, and investigated, nearly every crime on the books...including robbery, drug sales, burglary, theft, carjacking, rape, domestic violence, embezzlement and murder. Darrell wrote thousands of police reports and testified in court hundreds of times.

Internal Affairs

Attorney Darrell York investigated complaints of police misconduct, police abuse and police brutality. He drafted investigative reports and presented his findings to the police command staff.

DUI Task Force

Attorney Darrell York worked a special police unit that investigated, arrested and helped prosecute DUI suspects. He made literally thousands of DUI arrests. He gave field sobriety tests and DUI breath tests. He testified in court as an expert as to whether particular drunk driving suspects were under the influence. He trained fellow officers in DUI enforcement.

Narcotics

Attorney Darrell York made undercover drug buys and worked street enforcement, vice, surveillance, intelligence and major narcotics cases. He busted down doors, serving hundreds of search warrants. He testified as an expert in court in HS 11351 possession for sale of narcotics cases. He was the case agent in the seizure of 1800 pounds of cocaine, one of the largest drug busts in Los Angeles County.

Field Training Officer

Attorney Darrell York worked as a field training officer. In this role, he trained all new police recruits as to proper law enforcement methods, policies and tactics.

Police Sergeant

As a sergeant, Darrell York supervised, evaluated and trained all police officers assigned to his team. He also served as the watch sergeant where he was responsible for monitoring all calls for police service.
