Lawyer Overview
Jigna Bapodra is a real estate attorney who became licensed to practice in the State of California in June 2008.
Jigna Bapodra attended California Sate University, Fullerton and graduated with a B.S. in Biological Sciences, Minor in Chemistry and Minor in Criminal Justice in 2004. She initially chose to pursue a career in either pharmacy or optometry. While undertaking her minor in criminal justice, she became influenced and inspired by her criminal law professor who was also a District Attorney and developed a passion for the law. This passion led her to attend Chapman University School of Law.
During law school, she focused her attention to tax, land use and environmental law classes. In her Environmental Law Practice class, she participated in mock City Council and California Coastal Commission hearings. She has also gained experience in elder law while working as a law clerk at The Alona Cortese Elder Law where she handled different aspects of elder law, including drafting and executing wills and advance health care directives.
After graduating from Chapman University School of Law in May 2007, she worked as a graduate research assistant for Professor Matthew Parlow, who is now teaching at Marquette University Law School. She drafted research papers focusing primarily on the use of eminent domain and restoring blighted areas, as well as city planning tools in modernizing cities.
Her interest in real property law and land use litigation eventually led her to the position of associate attorney with The Law Offices of Kenny Tan where she focuses her practice on various aspects of real estate law such as landlord-tenant litigation and real estate disputes.
